Edward’s Syndrome can’t be cured because it is a genetic disorder. It is a third copy of the gene in the Chromosome 18. Most have only two genes in that chromosomes. Similar to Down’s Syndrome, but it has a much lower survival rate, Edward’s Syndrome can’t be cured because it is a disorder that took place within the chromosomes. Heart defects are the complications that result from this disorder.

The best thing to do in this case is for the parents to allow the hospitals to monitor the baby with this condition due to the extreme medical problems that result from the disorder. The only thing that can lessen the risk for a mother having a baby with Edward’s Syndrome is to have children earlier in life.
