A baby can survive Edward’s Syndrome. Most of the children or babies who have Edward’s Syndrome and live to be adults will live to be 25 years old. However, there are many babies with Edward’s Syndrome that do not live very long. Most die during their childhood. Only actually about 12% of those with Edward’s Syndrome live past a year old. Therefore, the babies can survive with Edward’s Syndrome, but it is highly unlikely.

They have many other medical issues like apnea and heart problems that makes it difficult for these people to survive with this disorder. Only about 9% of those diagnosed with Edward’s Syndrome actually live to be ten years old. Only 3% of those who have Edward’s Syndrome live to adulthood.
