The most important archaeology discovery of all time is a matter of opinion. Some say it was the findings of the Mayan Ruins while others think that the ancient city of Pompeii in Rome has been the most important one. Still, others hold to the opinion that the Dead Sea Scrolls were tops. A good number of people say that the remains of humans, some dating back over 2 million years, are the most important findings ever.
The City of Troy was another monumental discovery too. Sometimes, finding the artifacts disrupts the lives of those around the discoveries though. Ancient burial sights are dug up which are supposed to be sacred grounds. That is when there is a conflict. But, most people have a favorite find and are very delighted that a dig could provide them with the information gleaned from it and sometimes, they are even able to go see the piece in a museum.
