How often do tourists visit Sri Lanka?

Sri Lanka attracts a lot of tourists and always has. Even dating back to 410 AD, travelers came, especially from China. Over 2.1 million national tourists have visited Sri Lanka in the past year alone which included 268,952 Chinese tourists.

Tourism is expected to continue to grow despite the fact that travel is not encouraged right now due to the Easter terrorist attack. Still, people just can't seem to get enough of the country and go anyway, though it is a dangerous place to be right now, according to authorities.
