How many people died in Sri Lanka's Easter sunday attack?

There was an attack on Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. It targeted hotels and churches. The suicide bombers killed at least 253 people. Around 500 were injured at churches and luxury hotels across the country. The terrorists strategically planned the timing so there would be a lot of people in church as Easter is a religious day for many.

They also planned that there would be a lot of people at the hotels due to the holiday. The country remains under security due to the attacks and travel to Sri Lanka is not recommended.
