There are more Shias in Bahrain. In fact, more than 70% of the population is considered to be Shia Muslims. However, the leader of Bahrain is a Sunni Muslim which means that there are differences with the readings that these two denominations of Muslim believe in.

A few years back, the rift between these two denominations of Muslim had become more serious. The fact that the leader is a Sunni Muslim also means that there are some who are not given enough opportunities to grow and prosper because they are Shia Muslims. There are other Muslim countries that may be divided on what they believe in.
