Classifying Bahrain to be a wealthy country or a poor country actually depends on how you see it and also depends on the parameters with which you measure their richness. If we rank the country's richness based on its revenue, an important parameter in classifying a country to be rich, we can say the country is rich. Bahrain became extremely rich after it discovered crude oil in it's island.
And since then there has been a massive development in the country. But the problem in Bahrain is that, there is a considerable gap between the rich and the poor. Most rich people live in the city while the poor live in the rural part of the country. Foreign people from countries like UAE are also rich. The high population of the poor people are within the Shiite people. This set of people are extremely poor; don't they have much people working in the government.
