The United States Congress is legislative arm of the federal government of the United States of America. It contains of the upper chamber known as senate and the lower chamber known as House of representatives. Part of their constitutional responsibilities is to make bills and sent it to the president to sign them into law.

The United States Congress meets in the Capitol Building in Washington, District of Columbia. Although they don't use the same place, the Senate chamber is located at the north wing of the Capitol Building while the house of representatives chamber is located at the south wing of the same capitol building.

The constitution stipulate that the congress should meet at least once in a year and there are different types of sessions for different reasons. And before the congress can start their legislative business, they must form a quorum or majority. The US Congress have like three types of sessions, they have regular sessions. Closed sessions and Joint sessions.
