Switzerland makes a good penny off tourism as they should because the land is beautiful and the people are very accommodating. It is estimated that the country makes a total of 17.4 billion. It is one of the largest contributors to the Swiss economy. In overnight stays alone, they make about 35.6 million.
The tourism industry alone accounts for about 2.8% of the Swiss gross domestic product. That's not even including entertainment, eating out, and other things that people spend money on when enjoying the country. Yes, the Swiss make a lot on tourism and earn every dime of it.
