The popular Alice in Wonderland book was written by the author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson commonly known by his pen name Lewis Carroll. The book was first published in 1865. It tells the story of a young girl named Alice, falling through a rabbit hole and the adventure she experienced. Lewis was born on 27 January 1832 in Daresbury, Cheshire in England and he died at the age of 65 (14 January 1898) in Surrey, England.
Lewis Carroll was also a photographer, mathematician and an Anglican deacon. Some of his other notable work includes: Through the Looking Glass, The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky.
