There are many different types of poverty. There are actually six main types of poverty. Poverty doesn't always mean the same thing for the same people but it does have in common that it is hard, financially speaking, on all in any type of poverty situation.
The types of poverty are: situational, absolute, generational, urban, relative, and rural. Generally, situational poverty is caused by a crisis that comes suddenly whereas some are born into poverty. Others choose to drink their money up in booze or do drugs. Then, again there are those who know no other way and just never do anything about it.
There are those who are poor and live in the country and those who are poor in the city too. The different types of poverty usually indicate a little about the situation and sometimes, the integrity around it too. Some try and some don't. Some get themselves into situations while some situations are unavoidable. Poverty is a sad and very complex thing.
