How many poor people are there in the world?

Poverty is a social condition that is characterized by lack of resources or basic needs for an individual to live a healthy life. There is need for us to know the total population of those who are poor all over the world. Although poverty is something not peculiar to some countries alone, it is a general problem for every nation.

The total population of poor people all over the world is estimated to be around 3 billion, which is half of the entire world population. While 3 billion people live below $2.50 daily, the extremely poor people estimated to be around 1.3 billion live below $1.25 daily.

The impact is so much on children as it is on record that about 1 billion children are living in extreme poverty. It is a general experience for poor people, most of them do not have enough food to eat, and most don't have access to qualify education and healthcare
