Poverty is indeed a social issue, its impact on the society cannot be underestimated. Poverty is a social condition that is characterized by lack of resources to live a healthy life. This type of poverty is very common in many African and Asia.

Poverty is being caused by some factors which need to be dealt with before we would have a society that is full of violence and crisis. Poverty can induce other societal problems to come into being. Poverty will lead people to social vices like theft, illicit acts, corruption and societal instability.

What is responsible for the poor growth of many developing countries is poverty. When a country or Society is poor, there will not be adequate provision for basic amenities or needs of the citizens. And this can result to a lot of health, security problems and even terrorism. What is aiding the activities of many terrorist groups today is for because of poverty among youth.
