How many poor countries are there in the world?

There are so many poor countries in the world, mostly developing countries and some countries that are crisis or crime ridden. How countries are classified to be poor depends on so many things, starting from the income of a country, cost of living, infrastructures, access to good health and most importantly availability of food.

A country with high cost of living, poor health services, scarcity of food, dilapidated infrastructures, and low job opportunity is a poor country. Though, there are many causes of poverty which can be, conflict, lack of education, lack of infrastructures.

Here are the lists of poor countries: India: India is regarded as one of the poorest countries in the world, this can as a result of their huge population, basic facilities supply is very low in India, and most of them do not live below $1 per day.

Afghanistan: is also a poor country. The country is crime and crisis ridden and this could be their number one cause of poverty. Other poor countries are Malawi, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and most of Sub Saharan Africa.
