The word SMH usually means “Shaking my head.” in social media sites. There are instances when you may see other people who post about things that would just make you want to shake your head and this may be the perfect acronym that you can use in order to describe what you are currently feeling.

There are a lot of people who also use this for disapproval and also frustration because they have seen something that they do not approve of. There are also some people who also use this when they think that someone has done something that is so stupid that they can only shake their head in response.

Have you ever seen something like SMH on social media or someone replied your message using the acronym and you are still confused about the meaning, never worry because you are about to know it's meaning? SMH is the acronym for Shaking My Head, this is used to describe how disappointed you are about their behavior or conducts.

It can also be used as a sign of disagreement about anything. It is a common thing on social media, seeing people using SMH to show their judgment about someone's behavior or event that took place. You might be chatting with someone and you got that as a reply, it means something is wrong with your last word, either it sounded stupid to the receiver or he's disagreeing with you.

Slang like this is common with young people. It is mostly used alone and be careful not to use it in formal communication or writing.
