If you use social media alot, chances are you would have come in contact with a lot of internet slangs, with luck, you were able to interpret some of them and some seemed unclear to you. IHY is a perfect example of internet slang. The acronym means I Hate You. Many People while chatting tend to discuss about a lot of things. And for everything you are talking about with them, you get an appropriate response.

Sometimes when someone talks silly things to you while chatting, you can use the acronym IHY which means I Hate You as a response. Never think the person actually hates you if something like that is used for you. Even many use when they love you. But there are still cases when people use the acronym IHY because they truly hate you. The acronym is mostly used alone as a response to a message.

This is a type of internet slang that means “I hate you.” Before you start assuming that everyone who sends this may be mad at each other, do remember that this is an acronym that is normally used with irony. For example, someone has done something for another person that the person has always wanted.

The person will say IHY because he/she is so touched with the gesture. When people truly hate the other person that they are chatting with, they probably will not use the abbreviation anymore. They will just say what is on their mind or would think of other ways to show their hate towards the person.

Has anybody ever used this acronym IHY around or directly for you and you felt not affected, I'm afraid what your next step would be after knowing what the slang stands for? IHY is the acronym for I Hate You. It is a very common slang, describing how you passionately dislike someone.

When you don't like someone's attitude, behavior or character, the common expression that people tend to use is 'I hate you', but at times when the word is used to describe you, it doesn't mean people really hate you, some people do play with it.

For example you might decide to fool someone and the person fell for it, that person might tell you IHY and that doesn't mean he truly hates you. Slang like this is something very common on social media. People use it when chatting with their friends. It can be used anyhow in a sentence but be careful not to use it in formal communication or writing.
