Parameters like health care, education, nutrition, clean water, social ssecurity and basic services can be used to determine the poverty level in Mexico depending on ease at which the citizens get to use all the aforementioned parameters. The poverty level in Mexico is categorized into two, we have the moderate poverty, and the extreme poverty.
According to the survey carried out by the Mexico government, about 33 percent of the citizens live in moderate poverty while about 9 percent lives in extreme poverty. But if we should measure it based on international poverty line set by the world bank, about 2 Percent of the entire population lives in poverty. A person is categorized to be at the moderate poverty level if his income is above the international poverty line while a person is categorized to be living in extreme poverty if his income is below the international poverty line.
