Acrophobia is an intensive and irrational fear of heights. It is an anxiety disorder that makes it very difficult for someone who is acrophobic to behold or look at something from a very high place. People with acrophobia will not dare climbing high mountains to behold or view landscape or other natural formations because of the intense fear they tend to show when they are at high places.

People with this condition do not enjoy some basic things of life, they will be scared to move on elevator, they can't ski. Above all, people with acrophobia tend to suffer severe panic attacks, this is not good for the health at all. When the panic attack becomes too frequent it might lead to complicated health issues. Some will try to avoid situation that might trigger their fears but indirectly reinforcing the fear.
