Fraud is a serious crime in the eyes of the law and it attracts a severe punishment for anybody who indulged in the act. Fraud like using a dishonest, dubious means to take advantage of the victim by duping him of any valuables. We have different types of fraud, we have wire fraud, mail fraud, credit card fraud, check fraud and many others Wire fraud is seen as a federal crime because of its broad nature and how it has connection with different types of activities.

Wire fraud is simply when a person uses his phone, computer or any electronic communication device with internet connection to commit an act of fraud. For example, today we have a lot of scammers who defraud people on the internet. Even if the person is unsuccessful in his attempt to commit wire fraud, he would be punished for wanting to commit the crime.
