Fraud is a deliberate act to deceive someone into securing an unlawful or unfair gain, depriving someone his legal right can also be seen as an act of fraud. When people defraud, it is usually because there is a monetary gain or other benefits.

The rate of fraud practices in the United States of America is quite alarming and there seems to be so many ways people get defrauded in the country. The United States of America is very strict on laws use to address fraud cases, meaning there is a weightier punishment for anybody caught defrauding people.

Fraud practices or acts are in diverse ways. Fraud activities that are very rampart in the United States are Passport and visa fraud, Banking fraud, internet fraud (this is very common and examples are internet piracy, scamming), other types of fraud are identity theft, Check fraud, website misdirection and many others
