Detective pikachu game is super interesting, so turning the whole incident into a movie would be a good thing to be expecting, even as Ryan Reynolds is voicing pikachu, the man has always been a good actor with many of his movies excellent ones, also there would be amazing performance from other characters in the movie.

Another reason is the quality of the trailer released, it looks funny and good. Also the characters in the movie looks good and the animation is really enticing. Looking at the quality of the game and the line of the story used, a more fascinating replica could be made in the real world. Also looking at the quality of time and money Pokemon used to spend on its movie, anything less than good should not be expected.
