I think in the interest of democracy, President Trump should consider granting a pardon for Julian Assange. Assange is founder of wikileaks, a non profit organization that publishes secret information. At least Julian Assange has tried his best in unraveling some hidden secrets of many operations going on underground which could have been of a monumental loss to the United States.

Many corruption cases have been brought to light by wikileaks. I am not trying to justify or honor his offence with which he was convicted. Julian was accused of rape and sexual assault and he has been convicted. I understand the point many people are making concerning his case that he who wants to come to equity must come with clean, also that Julian cannot be leaking out secrets that have sent so many people to jail and expect his crime to be pardoned and forgiven. While I strongly agree with their point, I still hope he could be pardoned based on his impacts he had made before his conviction through his media outlet
