Is Wikileaks controlled by Russian intelligence?

The actual connection between wikileaks and Russia is something many people have been trying to unravel with all to no avail. Wikileaks is a platform that disseminate classified information about people, government officials who engage in shady practices. There are suspicions and allegations that wikileaks is being controlled and funded by the Russia government, this is because of the role which Russia and wikileaks played during the last US presidential election. Also many are accusing wikileaks for not being serious with any documents released to them about Russia.

During the last US Presidential election, Russia allegedly sent the details of an email account belonging to the Democratic officials. These are parts of many reasons most people think wikileaks is being controlled by Russia. Although no report has unraveled if indeed wikileaks has some tiles with Russia.
