Wikileaks is a non-profit organization that publishes and brings genuine information and news to the general public. Many people tend to think wikileaks is being paid for or sponsored by some anonymous people. Honestly if you should look in that direction and think about cost of their operations, you will also think they are being sponsored by some people.

But the truth is, wikileaks gets most of it's financial support from people and they are being funded largely by volunteers. Wikileaks also get it's financial support from media organizations like National Newspaper Publishers Association, Associated Press, Los Angeles Times , and the method of funding is through bank transfer and online transfer. There has never been a reported case of some people funding wikileaks for their personal gain. The funding wikileaks is getting from people is meant to assist them in whistleblowing operations.
