ISIS is the abreviation for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and is also called simply the Islamic State. ISIS contributes to the Islamic state by helping fund and support the cause. When one gets on a plane and there is a foreign person who might have the same look or use the same language as a terrorist and the person is immediately terrified, that is how Islam based phobia can become widespread.
