Propoganda played a vital role in World War I. It was used to inform the people at home about what was going on in the battlefields. Propoganda was also used to recruit more sodiers. Bright, colorful posters were printed to make war look fun and desirable.

They also made posters to guilt people into joining the military, proclaiming they would be embarassed if they didn't. Many showed people from all backgrounds and jobs working together for the common cause of winning the war. Propoganda was also used to inform the terrible things that were happening in Germany to make the people at home angry and wanting them to win the war.
