BODMAS is the acronym for Bracket, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction. The acronym is an important tool in remembering the order of operation in Mathematics. Any Mathematics student who does not know this, is not fit to be called a mathematician. The acronym has helped me in particular in many occasions. Getting the right answer without following the rule of BODMAS will be very difficult.
To apply the BODMAS in your mathematics, you just need to follow the order in which each letter is arranged and know what each letter stands for. Following BODMAS simply means, you will start solving your maths problem from those ones in the Bracket, then you proceed to Order, after that you move to, Division, you go in that order till you finish at Subtraction. Many students are making mistake because they don't know what BODMAS is and how to apply it to their maths problems.
