How did Barack Obama join politics?

It is through education and the choice of subjects studied that Barack Obama came into politics, but the wish to uphold every citizen's right to everything the US has to offer irrespective of race and background was also high in Barack Obama's set of beliefs.

His first degree was in Political Science and some years later he graduated cum laude with a law degree. He had personal experience of a modest lifestyle as well as a middle class one, and was aware his father had started his working life as a goatherd in Kenya.
