Bill Clinton like many other politicians began his political career as early as high school. That may seem odd, but many politicians become class president and hold other offices in their school’s student council. Bill Clinton did the same thing. While attending Hot Springs High School, he became a leader there. Then when he went to Georgetown University, he was elected class president.
He said that he knew he wanted to go into politics when he was only sixteen years old. This may have been due to being a leader during his high school years. In 1979 which was only a few years after graduating from Yale Law School, Clinton became a politician as the governor of Arkansas from 1979-1981 and 1983-1992.
