Bangkok definitely has Ubers and they are prefered over other forms of transportation and for the use of other taxi services in the town. Ubers are more reliable and they are accountable for their actions to a central location which is comforting when traveling to other city. Ubers are also affordable. If you are a single woman traveling alone, using another type of taxi services can be dangerous. Using a Uber is much safer.

Although, not everyone agrees with this point that uber is reliable and affordable. There are tales of horror about some taxis that are just ripoff plots and are not legitimate at all. If you are traveling in Bangkok, many recommend taking a Uber. They must account for their time and their fares and are trakable which make them safeer. If you don't want to use a Uber though, there are plenty of other options...just be safe.
