Who is Sid Meier?

Sid Meier is a sixty-something year old game programmer from Canada who is a designer of games and also a producer of games. He is the masster of simulation games. He is the inventer of the Civilization series that is so popular. He's very good at strategy games or at least the inventing and creating of them.

Heis also the co-founder of MicroCrose and Firaxis too. He is a genius in his own rights, say many who love his games. Some say he is just lucky but most don't believe that. He is a proud member of the the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. which should speak volumes for his abilities. He was born in Canada and has Dutch and Swiss parents and is making quite a name for himself even though he is up in years. That is something his fans love about him...that he didn't let his age hold him back.
