Star Trek is not as famous, or as popular, as Star Wars and it will never be. Star Trek is more niche and isn't as easy to follow. It involves story lines you must get aquainted with in order to fully appreciate it while Star Wars is more universally appealing. Plus, Star Wars was much more hyped up and came at a time people were very interested in such a concept. Star Trek appeared out of nowhere and earlier on so people had to have a love for science or a vivid imagination in order to even like it much less follow it.

Star Trek is not as famous, or as popular, as Star Wars and it will never be. Star Trek is more
The two are often mistaken for one another but, they are not the same at all. Star Trek is for true die hards who can grasp science fiction concepts and not everyone can. Star Wars, however is easier to grasp, even for those who don't much believe in such space scenarios. I think Star Trek is the best but the majority vote goes to Star Wars, hands down.
