Hawaii is heavily militarized compared to the size of the state. It has the Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. It also has Bellows Air Force Station Base in Waimanalo, Hawaii. It has an army base also in Honolulu called Fort Shafter. It has Schofield Barracks Army Base in Oahi, Hawaii.

Probably the most famous military base would be the Pearl Harbor Navy Base in Oahu. Hawaii has many military bases compared to the other states that only have a few. As a matter of fact, Hawaii has bases that represent all of the branches of the military. Not many other states can say the same thing. These military bases serve different purposes based on the reason they were put there.
