Kelly Clarkson was the very first winner of American Idol. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas and tried out for the first season of American Idol. She was selected from the original group of about ten thousand people. She signed a record deal with a major recording company called RCA Records. Her first song was “A Moment Like This.”

She also has been on a few television shows including That 80s Show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, MADtv, American Dreams and Sugar. She got married in 2013 and has a child. She has produced several albums since her win on American Idol.
