There are many remote islands in many of our oceans. This means that there is very little civilization near the island. Most likely, if you want to visit these islands, you will need to take transportation by air because only an airplane can reach that island. Probably the most isolated island in the Pacific Ocean is the Galapagos Island. There are about thirteen main islands and about six smaller islands or isles. The closest continent would be South America and it lies over one thousand kilometers away. Ecuador owns these islands and they are quite famous as many people have heard of them.
