The Amazon river is wide and large. It is home to many species of fish, snakes, and various creatures. One of the most poisonous and deadly is the poison dart frogs among the creatures of the Amazon rainforest. These frogs exist in the lakes, marshes, swamps, streams and river beds. Predators who wish to eat these poison dart frogs will be in definite danger. It causes swelling, muscular paralysis, nausea, and eventual death.

There are numerous other creatures that will attack in self defense if it senses danger. These creatures are jaguars, alligators, anacondas, and piranhas, wandering spiders, Electric Eels, and many other dangerous and deadly creatures. Some of these creatures live in the water and others outside of the water along the river beds.
