Does the Chinese government control the lives of its citizens?

Now, the latest technology available, it is even easier to spy on the people and to control their every move. They use facial recognition to identify people in large crowds. This makes it almost impossible for someone to hide within a large crowd. In the past, this would be one of the easiest ways to run away and hide.

They also get people strategically involved into group chats to identify those who are possibly opposed to the government. They also get people to download apps on their phones to monitor their every move. This is a fabulous way of control as more and more of our lives are online.

In each of these instances, they have the benefit of complete control of the people. As a dictatorial government that gives no rights to its citizens, they need to use a strong hand to control the lives of their citizens.
