What is the Right Hand of Doom?

The right hand of doom is an enormous stone arm and hand attached to Hellboy. Hellboy received this hand when his demonic father, Azzael, cut off his hand when he was a baby and replaced it with the Right Hand of Doom. This mysterious forelimb once belonged to an ancient spirit named Anum. Anum once resided over the forming Earth. He used it to defeat a dragon before his fellow spirits turned against him. The object is indestructible and there is no feeling in it. It is essentially a magical version of a cybernetic implant.

It is dexterous and can be used to manipulate small objects and catch small things such as a fly, but Hellboy usually uses his other, normal-sized, hand to manipulate machinery and technology. The Right Hand of Doom was used by many races as a weapon since it acts much like a giant sledgehammer. It is said that if Hellboy were to be slain it would be rendered useless.
