Doctors are always in demand. Over the past several years, the number of those attending and graduating medical school has gone down. In the next ten years, it is predicted that there will be a shortage of almost 60,000 medical professionals. These numbers are based on the United States alone. This does not comprise the entire world. The numbers around the world are falling when it comes to those going into and continuing to practice medicine. Doctors are always needed, and there will forever be a demand for their services.
With the demands of healthcare and the long hours required, many are finding that they struggle to get through the rigorous requirements that are needed to maintain a thriving practice. Many suffer from burnout, which causes them to leave the medical field. Others fail classes or fail to achieve the grades needed to progress into successful careers. All of these can be overcome, by spreading out the class load a little bit and finding others to help out within the practice, LPNs and Physician Assistants can help to relieve a little of the burden that doctors shoulder within their practices.
