An MBBS is something that an undergraduate student will obtain, and then move toward a more specialized degree in medicine. The MBBS is the first step into becoming a doctor, and a necessary step to continue on the goal of becoming a doctor. There are many classes that must be completed before a student pursues the path of becoming a doctor.
As students complete their undergraduate degree, they begin to figure out where they want their specialty to be, if they have not done so already. Many will change their direction due to classes that they enjoy more than others. An MD is one who has completed all of their coursework, completed a residency at a hospital, and has successfully finished all requirements in becoming a medical doctor.
