There are two answers to this question - Yes and No. Technically, the company no longer makes phones. Given that the smartphones were overtaken by several other companies, Blackberry has turned their attention elsewhere. However, they are still producing technology that is being used on Blackberry devices. Their technology has expanded and given more user interface while allowing for some greater functionality than was once thought possible on a Blackberry.
But then again, yes. There have been some rumors that Blackberry will once again start releasing phones. They released two new phones last year, but neither one blew the market away. While Apple has done several upgrades to its iPhone, and Samsung is still releasing new phones each year, the market has not been overly kind to the newest releases on these phones. With a stagnant feel in the air with many of the smartphones of today, Blackberry has been quietly perfecting some of its older models and looking at perhaps launching a more successful smartphone, one that would better fit the busy business lifestyle, and enable more functions than what we see on many phones today, while cutting out some of the noise that we get through our devices now.
