Spain is one of the top countries in the world that celebrates different kinds of festivals. The rate at which these festivals are celebrated is the reason Spain is usually regarded as the country of Fiestas.

If you really want to get yourself familiar with the traditions and culture of Spain, the best thing to do is to know more about some of these festivals. Let's start with Fallas de Valencia. It is a very popular festival in Valencia and it usually lasts for five days. There are different kinds of comedic precessions that await you. Different kinds of fireworks are also used for this festival.

Carnaval in Tenerife is another popular festival in Spain. Carnaval in Tenerife is a national festival that is celebrated by all inhabitants of the country. It is usually marked with parades, parties, fireworks, contests, etc. Other popular festivals include Feria de Sevilla, Festival de Los Patios Cordobeses, Batalla del vino, etc.

The reason why Spain is known as the country of festivals is that each year they have countless festivals. One of the types of festivals in Spain goes by the name of Falles. This festival is used to celebrate and remember when the monuments were originally burnt.

Another popular festival in Spain is the Festival of San Fermín. This festival is normally nine days long, and it is used to celebrate Saint Fermin, who was a holy man in Spain. There is also the Seville Fair, which is held after Easter. During this time, bullfighting occurs every afternoon during the week.

Spain is known for having a lot of festivals which is why they are called the country of fiestas. One of those fiestas is called the Semana Santa. This is a religious fiesta which is also known as Holy Week. People go to the streets and celebrate in costume the Holy Week. They also play music. The Pamplona Bull Run is probably the most popular and well-recognized because this is where people run with the bulls and hope not to get hurt.

Similar to Mardi Gras, Spain also celebrates a fiesta similar to that called Carnival where everyone gets dressed up. Tomatina Tomato Fight is probably the messiest fiesta because this is a really big tomato fight in the streets with thousands of people throwing the red fruit at one another.
