Catalonia is one of those places where you have heard of it, but you never really know where it is. Catalonia is located in Spain on the Iberian Peninsula. This is located in the northeastern edge of the country. The capital of Spain is Barcelona.
There are many different climates located in Catalonia and they are the oceanic climate, alpine climate, Mediterranean climate of alpine influence, inland Mediterranean climate, Coastal Mediterranean climate and the Mediterranean climate of continental influence.
Many of the more populated areas of Catalonia include very hot summers and the winter are cool. However, it depends upon the location in Catalonia because they can be different whereas some of the winters are cool and others are very cold.
