The Latin Square is a puzzle that closely resembles Sudoku. However, the Latin square is actually the first puzzle that led to Sudoku creation. In Latin square, it is more general in relation to the things that are put into the squares. Instead of putting a number, you put nine different symbols or nine different colors. They have to be nine different things, but the premise and goal of Latin Square are the same as Sudoku. It is not as difficult as Sudoku.
Instead of it having to have each three by three grid to contain different numbers, Latin Square doesn’t have that. It is only to have different symbols, colors, letters of numbers for each row and column. There also can be different numbers of rows and columns than nine.
