The Salem Witchcraft trial of 1878, also known as Ipswich Witchcraft Trial and the Second Salem Witch Trial, was a well-known American civil case held in May 1875 in Salem, Massachusetts, in which Lucretia LS Brown, an adherent of The Christian Science religion, accused fellow Christian Scientist, Daniel H Spafford of attempting to harm her through his mesmeric mental powers.
He was a suspected witch. The Court of Oyer and Terminer held the best-known trials in 1692 in Salem Town. This was where the Ipswich Trial was held.
