Egypt is known as the “gift of the Nile.” Every year during a certain time, the Nile River floods. That may seem like it is a bad thing because flooding is often perceived as bad. It causes many problems for people including ruining crops and sometimes ruining houses if they are located in the path where the Nile floods. However, in Egypt it is the opposite because it brings fertile lands to the farmer.
This name that Egypt has been called, “the gift of the Nile” was given to Egypt because the farmers benefited from this flooding. Then their land would grow many crops. This has been taking place for many years. Even during ancient history, this land would flood.
