This question is an example of a metaphor, and it has the effect of a relationship with nature. Metaphors are one of the many figures of speech. It is used to compare two things to one another. Metaphors are implied and can sometimes be missed throughout literature.

It is the opposite of similies because it doesn't use the words like or as. In this example, the speaker is comparing himself to the daybreak. By doing so, he shows he has a relationship with nature. Due to the nature aspect, this could be considered a nature poem, which includes elements of nature.
