There are so many things that Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for, but a lot of people will know him as the actor from The Terminator. He shifted from acting to being a politician in the year 2003 when he decided to run for the position of governor of California. He won in spite of the different controversies that were thrown at him.
He became reelected several times, so, in total, he was the governor of California from 2003 to 2011, which is quite long, especially if you would compare it to the terms that other politicians are able to complete in the office. After two terms, he wanted to contest a third term, but it was already not allowed by the constitution of California. As a lot of people know, the constitution will always be tricky to change.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, politician and also a former professional bodybuilder. He was born on July 30, 1947. It started his career as a bodybuilder, later he went into acting and at a certain point of his life he joined politics. Arnold Schwarzenegger quit acting in 2003, after which he contested under the Republican Party during the recall election that removed Grey Davis as the Governor of California. Arnold Schwarzenegger won the election and completed the rest of Davis's term.
This actually happened between 2003 to 2007. After the completion of the term he contested again for the second term, and he was reelected as the governor of California. He was reelected in 2006 for another, and that made his complete first term. He served as the Governor of California between the year 2007 to 2011. He also wanted to contest for a third term, but the constitution of California does not support that.
