Are sexually transmitted diseases curable?

Some sexually transmitted diseases can be treated. However, this doesn’t include all of them, as some cannot be cured. There are various types of STDs. The fact is that some can be cured and some cannot be. Why some are curable, and others aren’t is due to their biology.

The STDs that can be cured are usually of the bacterial kind while the serious ones are of the viral type. Bacterial STDs can be treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics. Some of the STDs that can be cured do include Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis. Some STDs that cannot be cured include Genital Herpes, Oral Herpes, HIV/AIDS and HPV.
