I do not think that Fuchsia is going to take over iOS even when it has already been released. The fans of iOS are die−hard fans. They are probably aware that the gadgets that are being released by Apple are substandard especially when compared to the devices that normally use Android but they are still blinded by the brand name and what it can do.
It will probably take some time before people will decide to switch to Fuchsia if in case it becomes released in the future. Even if it is supposed to become available to different devices, I highly doubt that Apple users are going to take this software seriously especially upon its release.

Apple are certainly less secure at the top of this market than they have been to date and Google intends to shift their supremity if at all possible. Apple's ios is not designed to welcome other technologies. Fuschia is deliberately designed to allow compatability between smartphones and PCs, and portable and stationary devices, as well as between web-based and native applications.
The ultimate is filling the gap between Android and iOS devices. If an operating system can suit all comers, all devices, then obviously it will encourage everyone to go for it, and Apple will have to re-think its ios.
